LANDSIDE IMPROVEMENTS
APPROACHING BY LAND

The redevelopment plan for this vital gateway to the New Jersey/New York metropolitan region includes a comprehensive roadway redesign that will connect the New Terminal A to the bustling network of highways that surround the airport. The New Terminal A also features direct access to the airport’s two other terminals; Terminal B and C.

The new roadway network has elevated and ground-level terminal approaches. Related amenities include ample queueing space for taxis and buses, and enhanced ground transportation areas and services. Together, these features will sharply reduce congestion on roads throughout the airport, improving on-time performance and reducing stress for every airport user. A completely designed roadway network and eight new bridges and site work will serve the New Terminal A.
