The Port Authority is in the midst of the largest design-build project in New Jersey’s history: The Newark Liberty International Airport Terminal One Redevelopment Program. The Program reflects the Airport’s commitment to providing the best experience possible for our air travel passengers, while effectively meeting increasing and evolving air travel demands.

Located in a new site on the Airport property, the new Terminal One eventually will replace the existing Terminal A, the Airport’s oldest terminal. As we integrate the new terminal into an active airport environment, there will be a transition period when both Terminal A and Terminal One will operate simultaneously to minimize travel disruptions for patrons. Eventually, all operations at Terminal A will be transitioned smoothly to Terminal One. The new facility was given its new name—Terminal One—to reflect the new standard for outstanding service at Newark Liberty International Airport.
